Write About a Rainy Day
by Isabel Winder

Rainy Days. The clouds are deep hazy shades of discolored blues and stomped on greys. The wind is absent, setting back to watch the storm let loose on the area below. First a few absent drops like a swimmer testing the water temperature before splashing in. Then it increases beating as steady as a horse's trot. But the clouds are unmoving the relief of simply raining is not enough to relieve the burden. So they scream and the rain is no longer rain as compared to a pony is not as a racehorse. But not agile as a horse, no there is no agility in a rainstorm. The rain is mad, furious, like a bear about to charge. With the beat now as a thousand elephants scattering in dismay. There is no pattern. There is no organization in anger. It is free fall. Paint thrust upon a canvas.
